Lawman from her past delores fossen com site_link When I saw the blurb for this book I was really intrigued and once I started reading it I was glued to the book There were a lot of characters good guys bad guys and hitmen Cameron and Lauren had a complicated past that led to them not seeing each other for years And their future was about to get even complicated when Lauren showed up at his ranch with injuries after a kidnapping attempt with the news she believes that her son was switched at birth with his sister s Gilly baby who Cameron had custody of And now someone was after the babies and her. Lawman from her past delores fossen After Lauren s husband died and left his company and fortune to Lauren and their son some people wouldn t leave them alone His business partner wanted the company his sister just wanted all the money and Gilly s nutty mother in law wanted custody of her grandson There were new clues and directions of the investigation taking place all the time Someone was trying to kill Lauren and kidnap the babies Cameron Lauren and her family were not about to let that happen. Lawman from her past delores fossen There were so many bad guys who had even bad guys working for them that I didn t know who was trying to kill who Some would have figured out who the villain was but I was surprised The romance takes a back seat to the dangerous situations going on but I never stopped hoping that Lauren and Cameron would get together Lawman from Her Past Blue River Ranch Book 3 There are enough twists in the plot of this book to make the reader dizzy The action is almost non stop and it is hard to decide which characters to trust I enjoyed trying to figure out what was happening in this novel Lawman from Her Past Blue River Ranch Book 3 Reviewed at Lovin A Cowboy RomanceLAWMAN FROM HER PAST held my attention from beginning to end Although there are a lot of characters bad guys and nameless faceless hitmen I was able to sort them out within the first few chapters well maybe not the nameless faceless hitmen At the time of the murder of the Beckett parents Lauren and Cameron had been an item close to being in love with a future ahead of them Then and perhaps even now Lauren blamed Cameron for not stopping the murders since as deputy he had pulled over the suspected convicted murderer for drunk behavior and sent him home if he d arrested him and tossed him in jail Lauren felt the parents would still be alive which couldn t be true since if you ve followed this series you ll strongly suspect that the wrong man is in prison as he was set up to take the fall for these murders To say the least Cameron and Lauren have a complicated past And their future is about to get even complicated as Lauren shows up at his ranch with the injuries still fresh from a kidnapping attempt to claim she believes that her son and Cameron s sister Gilly s son were switched at birth and now someone is after both the babies and her. Lawman from her past delores fossen I m not even going to try to explain the plot in detail for it s complicated and complex Simply put Lauren s husband died and left his company and fortune to Lauren and their son his business partner wants the company his sister just wants all the money and Gilly s crazy mother in law wants custody of her grandson That s the basics But in reality it s complicated with new clues and directions of the investigation taking place all the time Simply someone is trying to kill Lauren and kidnap the babies and Cameron her family and Lauren are not about to let that happen. Lawman from her past delores fossen We also have a second chance at happiness for Lauren and Cameron if she can let go of the past and embrace the future There is fast paced action mysteries definitely danger family feathers to be smoothed bad guys to arrest and two babies to make a secure safe future for As I said there s a lot going on in LAWMAN FROM HER PAST. Lawman from her past delores fossen I had my suspicions from the start but did it ever get complicated before the final reveal I enjoyed this story but we didn t move along the original murder mystery much this time around I enjoyed myself and if you ve followed this series then I m certain you will as well The romance takes a second seat to the danger and complications going on but I never doubted that Lauren and Cameron belonged together. Lawman from her past delores fossen I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription Lawman from Her Past Blue River Ranch Book 3 The previous book in this mini series Gunfire On The Ranch was really quite terrible and it took me a long time to work myself up to reading this title because I wasn t sure if I was in the right frame of mind for Fossen s usual formula In fact I read two other books while trying to read this one However Fossen has thankfully narrowed the narrative Whereas the previous book brought up a dozen different plot elements only to abandon them willy nilly Lawman From Her Past is a much focused story Lauren Beckett has just learned that her baby was possibly the subject of a swap at the hospital and this has put various gunmen on her tail She suspects the swap was orchestrated by her friend Gilly who wanted to protect her baby from her abusive ex and his controlling mother who wants the baby for herself Gilly later died of a blood cot. Lawman from her past delores fossen So Lauren s true baby is now with Gilly s brother Cameron Dolan who Lauren shares a Romantic Past with She blames him for not doing to prevent the murder of her parents Which is quite an odious thing to lump on another person and is an issue that is never once discussed properly or resolved Lauren goes to him not only because she s on the run from gunmen but they need to sort out what they re going to do about this baby swap But they need to figure out who s gunning for them Suspect one is Evelyn the mother of Gilly s abusive ex She really wants custody Suspect two is Julia who is the sister of Lauren s dead ex husband Alden Oh yeah did I mention Lauren was once married Alden died of cancer and Lauren s baby is the benefactor Julia isn t too happy about this clearly Also not happy is Alden s business partner Duane who is suspect number three As anyone who reads Fossen regularly knows three is always the magic number when it comes to suspects with reams of guns for hire The previous book also had Ivy getting a nice inheritance from a dead husband just going to show how relentlessly Fossen recycles her plots Interestingly enough this book barely even mentions the mini series overarching mystery of who actually killed the Beckett parents As much as Fossen borrows from herself I appreciated that she kept her focus on this book s plot and not other random or dangling plots It meant I stayed invested in the events of this book and not distracted by unnecessary red herrings. Lawman from her past delores fossen The actions scenes are absolutely perfunctory for a Fossen book No change there gun fights at ranches and between cars But at least I cared a little about what was going down I wasn t sure about Lauren s character The first chapter made me hate her The time she spends banging on to Cameron that I don t have time to explain it to you she could have actually explained it to him Then she pulls a gun on him to make him take her to his nephew who she thinks is her son I don t like a H or h who pulls a gun on somebody they re supposed to love On top of that despite supposedly loving Cameron she did go and marry someone else Not something I like in a heroine But I did like the fact she didn t just sit around and wring her hands Lauren was able to look after herself. Lawman from her past delores fossen Other questions that usually arise in a Fossen book With all of these gunmen why do they always go for the kill shot Why not a shot to the knee to incapacitate If they don t bloody kill the lackeys they might be able to question them and get answers Why are all the men always muttering profanities Why are these siblings always walking in on one another in the midst of a passionate embrace kiss with a person they disapprove of Have ANY of them ever heard of knocking And if you re after a romance this is not the place to go Despite the rest of the plot being quite good the romance is an utter utter failure Lauren left town after the murder of her parents We re told she blamed Cameron for not preventing their deaths No other detail is provided Not how he could have prevented it nothing We re just told they re still hot for one another with Fossen s standard He she felt that old punch of heat or words to that effect They NEVER ONCE have a discussion about Lauren s blaming him so I was utterly unconvinced by their union. Lawman from her past delores fossen Mercy word count only 4 Lawman from Her Past Blue River Ranch Book 3 I enjoyed this Intriguing Romance which was a second chance romance also I bought this at a local shop and I voluntarily chose to review this I ve given it a 4. Lawman from her past delores fossen 5 rating and it is not for the under 18 readers There is some sexual content and a lot of violence in this The suspense had me reading late into the night and last night I needed to know how it ended It had pulled me in and kept my attention throughout and the babies were adorable too I m on to my next Lawman from Her Past Blue River Ranch Book 3
